Pjur Original Silicone Lubricant 100mL An extremely high grade silicone lubricant, made from medical grade silicone and created by chemists.  Pjur silicone lube is great because it's highly concentrated, never dries out, doesn't need to be reapplied, and you only need to use a few drops at a time.  Because of this, a few drops goes further than a large quantity of waterbased lubricant.  Silicone lubricant does not get absorbed into the skin as the silicone 'beads' are too large to easily fit in the pores of the skin, so in this respect it is especially suited for use by those who have sensitive skin and any occasion where internal use will occur.  Pjur lubricants are unscented, uncoloured, and unflavoured, allergy-safe, are great for use as a massage oil with or without essential oils, as well as skin conditioning, and are even handy to have around the home!  All silicone lubricants are insoluble in water, so they can be used in the bath or shower without washing off.  In addition, they are often used to bring out the shine in latex clothing, and can be rubbed over tattoos to instantly increase their vivacy and colour strength.  Pjur silicone lubricant is completely toy and condom safe, and can be used underwater without washing off.  Not recommended for use with silicone toys. To dispel a few common myths, it should be pointed out that silicone lubricant is not pure silicone - it is composed of silicon-containing compounds, much like waterbased lubricant is carbon-containing. So while it is made from silicone, it is in no way similar to the silica found in sand and you cannot get silicosis from using it, much in the same way you can't get black lung from using glycerol (waterbased) lubricants.  They are referred to as silicone lubricants because the 'official' name of the product is half a sentence in itself.  Silicone lubricants are a safe, more hygienic alternative to waterbased lubricants.
